Introducing Sculpey Soufflé™ Ivory Pt 1

Okay, I can’t tell you how much I love this clay color! It is like the combination of the color with the unique texture of Soufflé™ creates the perfect clay for my preferred work palette. This color may look like it is a soft color, but WOW, I had to mix 4 parts of the other colors with it because it was so strong.

The top row of the large photo contains the 3 colors that I’m mixing with the Ivory (I) on the far right. The bottom 3 colors are the colors mixes created by mixing 4 parts of the color directly above with 1 part (4:1) of the Ivory. Of course, any of these colors or mixes can be used in combination with any other colors you wish, but I’ve picked 3 palettes of colors using ONLY the original colors and their mixes above.

#1 The pearls still hold fairly strong with the Ivory, softening slightly but still a sheen. I really like these 3 colors together. I wouldn’t think of using Sunset Pearl (SP) with Antique Gold (AG), but the Antique Gold mixed 4 parts to 1 part of Ivory (I) really adds the link between them.

#2 The SP/I and AG/I mixes look great with the pop of brightness from the Ivory don’t they?

#3 I really like all the 3 mixes together as well! The Ivory softens the Bronze to a color that looks edible! This could make a perfect chocolate frosting with the little hint of glimmer from the pearl in the Bronze. Of course, the same could be said of the Sunset Pearl as a strawberry frosting or filling?
